The Brain as a Filter

The way we interpret the words, behaviors, etc. of others has everything to do with the way our minds receive it. We all have different minds that hold different experiences, beliefs, triggers, thus we will all interpret the outside world in a unique way. This is what becomes our perception. The inverse of that is projection. Sometimes we project our own experiences, beliefs, etc. onto the way we view the outside world, and the judgements and opinions we place. It’s a cycle of giving and receiving, but if that cycle is distressing, then there is power in knowing that although you cannot control the outside world you can explore the way it is being filtered. How can you receive the input from the outside world differently? How can you project onto the outside world differently?
